Q & A with Jo
* When did you open your store?
I bought the store in 2010
* What are the best and most challenging parts about owning a bricks and mortar store?
The best part of owning a scrapbooking store is sharing this great craft and meeting so many like minded crafty people. The most challenging  part is making all the costs  required that are behind the scene’s. You have to sell an awful lot of paper to cover costs, this is why I have moved my business to my home as of the 1st of June 2014.
* Do you offer classes and/or workshops?
Scrapbookit have monthly crop days and card classes .We also have a monthly challenge on our blog,
* What about retreats?
Scrapbookit hold 2 retreats a year one in March and one in October in the beautiful township of Harrietville Victoria. They are a funfilled weekend shared with great crafty people, we offer classes in a large secure scrapping room.
* Do you have a design team?
Yes I have a wonderful DT. My members are Mel Field, Brenda Caldow, and Cindy Porter.
* How much time do you dedicate to the running of your store?
I am working on something everyday, whether it be paperwork, creating challenges, packing  order, organising classes.
Check out some of Jo's work featuring
product you can purchase from the shop:

Next time you are in the area, pop on in to

A BIG shout out to.......BY Chantal Vandenberg!

Hello my crafty friends!
I want to dedicate a bit of blog space now to my pal
Chantal Vandenberg
Chantal is the owner of the cutest Etsy store around
By Chantal Vandenberg
Made up of the seriously cute embellishments
all lovingly handmade by Chantal.
I thought it would be an absolute treat to share some
of Chantal's story here on The Trinket Track blog, because
I am all for supporting small business!
Why don't you grab a cuppa while you read along and
visit Chantal's awesome store?
The majority of my scrapbooking goods that I sell currently are handmade scrapbooking embellishments using a variety of felts, fabrics and papers.

Here are a few of my products available in my store;
Fuzzy Felt Clouds - White (in various sizes)
Lollipops and Rainbows pack

Treat Cuteness pack
I have used these cute packs in the below double page layout that I created.  It's called "A Big Surprise". :)
The below close-up shows the Rainbow and Lolly in action…
And here you can see the various sized Fuzzy Felt Clouds in white in close-up.  I have topped them with tiny chipboard hearts.

* When did you open your store?  I opened my store at 9am AEST, on the 1st of November 2013. :)
* What made you decide to sell online?  I had been making my own embellishments for my projects for quite some time, just because it was fun, and plus I couldn't really find available to me exactly what I was looking for anywhere.  I'd had quite a few requests and suggestions over the years that I should sell my handmade embellishments, and after much deliberation… I did! :)

* How much time do you devote to it?  I spent a lot of time before my business was up and running on designing and creating, but now I spend less time on it - approximately 2-3 hours a week.

* Do you have a best seller?

Yes, my best seller at the moment would have to be my mixed coloured Felt Balloons Pack;

* What is your favourite product?

My favourite product - that is a tough one.  At the moment it would have to be a tie between my Beautiful Butterflies.....
and my Mottled Moths…
My newest product are these Denim Hearts, which I am looking forward to using soon!
These hearts are made from quality reclaimed denim and they would suit so many projects! :)

Thanks again Monica!  I am definitely keen to come back as a featured scrapper in the future!
You can check out more of Chantal's amazing work on her blog:
Don't forget to pop on over and visit her store also:

I hope You have either discovered a new store to shop for supplies
or  just enjoyed looking at Chantal's gorgeous creations!
If you would love to find more inspirational work by Aussie designers,
more online and bricks and mortar stores
and much more, leave me a comment.
I am all for supporting our great Scrapbooking community
and giving a shout out to hard working
crafter's around OZ - as well as inspirational
international artist.
Should we celebrate Scrapbooking together?

Hold on a second.............

If you haven't heard....The Trinket Track store will
be having an extended break. At this stage I don't know how long
that break will be. It could be quite a while.
It is a very hard decision to make but I just can't dedicate full time
work to it anymore...and I can't exactly ask you lovelies
to only buy embellies every now and then so I can keep up ;-)
The main reason I started The Trinket Track was because I had
a desire to be involved in the craft industry other than being on DTs, creative
challenges and being published and what a wonderful experience that was!
I met so many people and had so many wonderful opportunities - there
was also the thrill of seeing my pretty embellies on the pages of
magazines - and even the cover thank you!
You are all amazing, so I want to give something back!
Right here on this blog!
I mean, I can't let this awesome blog design go to waste can I?!?!?!?
There is something coming...something BIG!
Please keep reading, because we're not done yet!

Carnival colours!

Hi everyone!
I have this really quick and easy layout to share with you all.

I know I am always glad to see the end of Summer....but living
in QLD, even a Winter's day can be I don't miss it for long!
This particular day was the hottest day of Summer, with temperatures
reaching 40 degrees Celsius. We decided to spend it at the water park with
half of Brisbane lol!
My background is so basic. I used a piece of Kaisercraft base coat
patterned paper - best paper ever!
I added a acrylic heart button and topped it with some rainbow string.
I then scattered some Starfetti across the page.
I adhered them with tacky glue and some tweezers.
I didn't like them all lying down flat so I overlapped them.
I used some of the rainbow string to frame my photo.

Quick and easy!
Adding bright colours to a layout can
add lots of interest to simple layouts!
